How to reduce the stress of journalists?

I have a task. I’m figuring out how to reduce the stress of journalists with the help of technology. This is almost like a mission impossible: technology only creates stress to journalists, right?

But I’m convinced there is a way technology can help us relax as well. Maybe with an app which reminds us about our relaxation mantra when the deadline is approaching? Or an app which integrates ingredients from meditation practice, and somehow guides us through the day?

Or something else. In order to figure that out, I’m asking you to share your ways to calm down during the day. What do you do when the deadline is approaching and blood is rushing to your head? Have a walk? Drink a glass of water? Look out through window?

(I feel the stress approaching when figuring out this homework… and I’m gonna build the solution, so I won’t be only thinking about it)

This task is my course work at an awesome class ‘Calming Technologies’ taught by Dr. BJ Fogg at the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford. More at #calmingtech
